I’m currently thinking about making floating work. I’m very interested by coconuts and ocean currents.

DODO

I would like to symbolically bury the Dodo, as a result of moving and storing it. It’s awkward!

DODO-the next step

I would like to make a performance, play about the cult. The performance would take the format, of a procession. Relics of the Dodo would be placed inside a box, and carried by cult member’s holding staff’s and wearing robe’s. The box would be carried on the procession through streets and would culminate with a dance around ritualistic drawings under the gaze of the coyote. A speech would be given before the dance which would recount the story of the cult.

I’m trying to find funding, but hopfully this will take place at some point anyhow.

The Cult of the Dodo

It is possible that in time, The Cult of the Dodo will emerge formed out of desperation; the resurrection of the dodo will be seen as the salvation. The trickster God of the coyote is worshiped as the only being capable of bringing about such an event. The cult is a culmination of ancestor worship born of gilt and nostalgia in a time of need.
